Sam sighs as he looks at her and then rubs the back of his neck.

"Clem, Doll sweetie you have to um, make sure that you don't hook your self so you need to be careful"

He looks at her where she had set down on the lawn chair he had the poles leaning against she has no idea she how close she came to hooking that perfect ass of hers.

She smirks and kisses his neck. "Mmmkay..."

Try she does, and at least she doesn't hook his clothing.

It lands in the water with a liquidy plunk.

"Well if there is a jellyfish swimming near the shore you will catch him for sure."

See Sams optimistic sarcasm.

"Well, what did I do wrong?"

"You released the button to late is all didn't get the proper fly on it."

He'll deal with that.

"But I pressed it at the top of the arc...." She'll just be sitting there confused, Sam.

"Shh It's okay it takes a while to master. Just reel it in and try again."

Mmm, hand on the stomach, she approves. "Easy for you to say - it's not your pole." Coff. She manages to reel it decently this time, but there's a problem with the castoff...

...And this time she hooks the back of his shirt.

"Sorry!"

"Okay I need you to lean forward while I take my shirt off and get the hook out okay?"

And it will be going back on he's not leaving his skin exposed!

She was hoping she'd get some shirtless Sam out of this. Giving him enough room to take off said offending shirt, she sits back and watches him appreciatively.

The shirt comes off as he slowly starts to take the hook out.

"Luckily it was only shirt."

She'll just sit back and enjoy.

A lot.

"I would've kissed you all better."

"I know but do you see this barb here Doll?"

he asks softly as he shows it to her.

She does.

Ouch.

And kisses his shoulder. "You're not hurt though, right?"

"Nope, I am not hurt. But, if you hook yourself, you are better if you run it through then cut the barb off then pulling it out."

She strokes his hand, relieved, loving him.

Her hand rises to his chin, and traces the scar marking the left side of his jaw. "You never told me how you got this."

"It was a fight gone wrong. I won but it was a close call."

he said and smiles at her. It's not exactly a lie it was a close call from an explosion but he was fighting bad guys.

She runs her lips along his jaw, gently. "Where?" she needs to know. It's a very old, very deep scar; it looks like it barely healed.

"It was just down in some bar in Brazil. Carnival was a hoot."

"Mmm. Doesn't surprise me you've been there." Sam has likely been everywhere. "How many times?"

"Well I only took it on the chin once. But five or six times total."

he kisses her cheek. He's actually enjoyed it too. But not that time.

He probably enjoys it every time he wins. Clementine sympathizes. "I meant how many times have you almost bought the farm?"

"I don't know that I have an actual number on that but one time I really really was sure I was dead."

"When was that?" She almost died twice. She'll explain, she always will.

"Mid Nineties Venezuela I was lead in to a trap. I didn't think i would get out alive."
